If you are only sending to internal customers, then its like any external sender and there is no need to do anything but send the messages. If you are trying to use that app to relay to external customers off of 365, then that's not allowed. Well, there is no receive connector in 365. (It might be that I have answered my own issue somewhere here, but I am too unclever to understand it :) ) Record? This particular MX record is indeed set within our O365 tenant.
But maybe the message is actually implying the .com MX I do not want to point it directly to Office 365 at this time. We are currently using an external email hygiene service which our domain's MX record is pointing to.

I try to create a new connector FROM Internet TO Office365 and I get a message that I do not need to create a connector, but that I need to update my MX record to point to Office 365. This one is configured to use Certificate - yes. We are in hybrid mode so the one receive connector I have is FROM "Your organization's email server" TO "Office 365". Any ideas how to get this to work on Office 365? I have even tried completely shutting down firewall to see if that is the issue and multiple restarts. I am trying to configure my new sql server (OS-Windows Server 2012 R2, DBMS- SQL 2014 Std Edtion). Our company recently moved to Office 365 which mean our on premise exchange server went away as well with the move.
